So much to blog about...

but so little time, so here's some highlights and one of these days(soon) I'll post pics to go along!

We'll start with last Sunday....

~ I was seriously a nervous wreck thinkin Chris wouldn't make it home for Christmas because of the weather...

~ Called Chris early Monday morning so see where he was at, I'm think he should be in Flagstaff... WRONG he was already in Twin Falls (2 hours from home).... He left Sunday evening when he got off work! That 2 hour drive turned into a 7 hours. I'm so grateful he made it home safe, he was exhausted and said he didn't ever know he ever pulled "all nighters" back in the day,lol My how times have changed...

~ A 15 hour drive turned into a 23 hour drive cause the roads were so bad. They closed the border between here and Utah right after Chris went through...

~ Chris and his girlies braved the roads and the mall for some Christmas shopping on Tuesday!

~ Snow, snow and some more snow...

~ Wrapping wrapping and some more wrapping...

~ Christmas eve at the Farrells, yummy food, games and of course the opening up Christmas jammies!

~ Christmas Eve. surprise, Grandma and Papa Fogle showed up!

~ Stayed up to the weee hours being Santas helpers...

~ Christmas morning, huge smiles, lot of laughter, TONS of trash, twistie ties and cardboard cuts on the hands. Lots of playing, lounging, building an igloo, nap for the P. man, then it was time to head to the Farrells for more presents and Christmas dinner!

~ Friday, got a late start, rushed to Macy's to hopefully get an amazing deal on new pots and pans... No such luck, I had just missed the last one. Geez don't these people know that just maybe if I had pretty new pots I'd just maybe cook my family some amazing dinners?!?!

~Saturday, we had some sad kids as the Fogle G-parents hit the road trying to beat the storm, no such luck but they did make it home safely, two days later...

~ Sunday pure laziness and man that felt gooooood!

~ Monday packed up all the Christmas stuff, put the tree away, Chris took down the lights and now our home looks so bare... Took a trip to Target and the Walmart, fought the crowd to get some food! Shouldn't the crowds be done with??? Dropped the groceries inside the door and rushed to meet Melanie for a Zumba class down at the Y. If you don't know what Zumba is look for a video on youtube, the really try hard not to laugh for butts off picturing me trying to do it!! I'll just say my white girl hips don't move like that and let me just add this is the most out of the box thing I've EVER done!!

~ Today, off to Zumba again in about an hour then we're spending the rest of the day celebrating our Lexi loves 6th Birthday (her special post to follow) We'll be spending the day at kid planet, fun fun!

Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas!

I hate posting with out pictures, but the 2 times I've actually sat down to blog this week, the dang photo uploader thingy is down... It's been a long week, yet it's gone by so fast~ I'm exhausted~ Being "single" is hard work around the holidays! I'm very much looking forward to Christmas break and hopefully life slowing down a bit! I shall return later to hopefully add pictures! Hope everyones enjoying their holiday thus far!

Elfie your in BIG trouble!

Bright and early the kids were on the hunt to find Elfie (man are we original or what with his name??). They searched high and low and finally I said well the only place left to look is in the bathroom... I'll let the photos tell the rest of the story!

"Mom he's not anywhere"...

"oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh"

"look there's Elfie"
"Is Elfie in trouble???"

"He's so magical"

Miss cheeks waking up Elfie

They all just sat there in awww for a good 5 minutes!

Now Elfie is back on the shelf with good instructions from the Fogle kids to not get an anymore trouble today!

They need to take their own advice ; )

His mind is going a million miles a minute thinking up his next plan of attack, silly Elfie!

Tonights the Night...

That Santa's Elf will make his appearance in the Fogle home! I'm super excited to start this new tradition! For those of you who have know idea what I'm talking about, it all stems from the "elf on a shelf" set you can buy from Halmark and basically Santa sends an elf down to "watch" over the household and then he'll report back to Santa on Christmas eve. on weather or not the kids were naughty or nice! Also the Elf gets into a little mischief at night, so you never know where he'll be in the morning or what he's gotten into through out the night! I'm gonna love this!

So here's my daily December 9th pic! Our little Elf (we'll name him tomorrow) bearing some little gifts! I can't wait to see the kids in the morning!

What it's all about!

Isn't this what lifes all about, all snuggled up in mom and dads bed after a hot bath, watching A Charlie Brown Christmas?!?

Day 8.

Last night I went to check on Preston before I went to bed and this is what I found. Every once in a while he insists on putting all his bedding down on the floor to sleep uncomfortably by/on his toys! Crazy Boy!
Day 7.

So now I'm caught up on my picture days, hopefully by the time I post tomorrow I will have made it to the store to get batteries so I can post pics by a real camera and not my phone!

Yesterday.

Sisters, sister, sisters, they love each soo much... except when they don't. They were very excited to be going to the light parade last night, so I had to steal a quick pic as we were walking out the door!

Day 4

So here we are on day 4 already! I know this is nothing glamorous but in years to come I hope to look back and remember how every day Mon.-Fri I sit in front of Lexi's school, showing up at least 15 minutes early just out of fear of being late and wait to hear all her giggles as she lets me know what every kid said to her, said to each other, what her teacher said... I'll look back and remember how this month exactly Disc #1 is the kids Christmas cd and #2 is my Christmas cd, how my clock says it's 12:07 but really it was only 11:55 since my clock is for whatever reason 12 mins fast, how I just realised today that I have 3 lotions in my cup holders and I only know how 1 got there, but most of all to remember how lucky I am that I get to pick up my kiddos every day!

6:45 pm.

That would be the time I put my monsters to bed tonight, don't judge! Believe me when I say it was for their own good! They've pushed every last button I have tonight and I'm starting to think I need some of whatever my dear friends Michelle and Jim Bob take!

Do you watch their show? I've been watching them for years, a strange obsession of mine and I'm most certain I've never heard saint Michelle yell, let alone raise her voice!

Now I sit here with a sore throat from yelling all evening, feeling like a loser for yelling all evening, feeling like an even bigger loser when I think about my monsters going to bed thinkin I'm mad at them and feeling like the BIGGEST loser hoping my kids wont think of me when their older as the crazy yelling mom.... Michelle Duggar I want to be like you when I grow up ( Just not with your 80's hair 'do!)

(for the record i obviously have no idea if the Duggars are medicated, i'm just poking fun for my own sanity! i also *heart* my kids more than anything.)

Day 3 Pic!

For the first time since the girls have started school I dropped them off this morning then me and Mr. P headed to Boise to do some (Christmas) shopping! It was nice to do some running around with him actually, I kinda felt like I had 1 kid again, like back in the easy peasy days...

Todays Pic.

Nothing warms the heart and soul and puts a smile on your face like a great cup of Hot Chocolate with whipped cream when it's cold out!

Some Day...

I knew it!

You Belong in Rome
You're a big city soul with a small town heart
Which is why you're attracted to the romance of Rome
Strolling down picture perfect streets, cappuccino in hand
And gorgeous Italian people - could life get any better?

Stealing this from Melanie!

So I'm stealing this idea (post) from Melanies blog! I too have NO idea which direction my photos will lead but alls I know is I'm on it! I think I want to try to do this every year, it'll be fun to look back over the years and see how your days have changed, tastes change, your blessings and just your every day life! So please come along and do it too, I'm sure it'll be fun and what a treasured project! So anyways here's the details from Melanies blog!
"Thank You Ali Edwards
Ok, so here's the idea. Make a December Daily album. Take one photo every day in December and put it in an album. (That's the simple version) For some great inspiration and a more detailed description of this project check out Ali Edwards Daily December Post - this is her idea after all. At first I was like a photo every day? No prob! I've been mulling it over for a few weeks now and decided that it may be difficult. I'm going to have to make sure to have the camera handy at all times and I'm going to probably have to use the cell phone camera on occasion. I'm not sure what direction my album will take yet - family, traditions, my personal schedule, my favorite things. I will have to see what pictures I end up taking. Many of the girls on the scrap message boards are making their albums now so that they can just add photos. We'll see if I get that on top of it - if I do I will for sure post pics. Alright, so who's going to do this with me????? "

I'm a day late so for my picture for yesterday I'm posting a picture I took Sunday of my favorite new ornament that I got at Cracker Barrel last Friday! I LOVE it, so cute and traditional! She's exactly what I picture when I think of Christmas!

Thanks for the great Idea Mel!

Be back later with todays pic!

Thanksgiving week!

What a Fabulous week! It went by way too fast, but we still managed to cram in a ton of things while Chris was home! Chris flew in Tuesday night, his flight came in early which made me technically late, which I hate! I was just pulling off the freeway when he called sounding like a little kid in a candy shop asking where we were! I was actually glad to just be able to pick him up on the curb instead of carrying 2 sleeping kids into the airport! Lexi was so HAPPY to have dad home, she seriously didn't stop smiling the whole way home or the whole week for that matter. I felt like a teenager again, butterflies and all, 7 weeks was incredibly too long to be without your best friend! Wednesday Chris and the kids spent all day out side sucking up leaves and about 30 bags later they called it a day and we headed out to Target and dinner, woohoo! Thursday morning started with Chris going to get donuts and then Melanie bringing over my Birthday presents from my mom (she tried to be all sneaky and say she hadn't had time to mail it yet!) YaY I got a new sewing machine, awesome! So yes I did say Birthday present which means yes it was technically my Birthday, which means I'm aquarterofacentury old, boohoo!! I'd like to think I'm still 18 stuck in a fat girls body these days... Anyway I got way spoiled from everybody, new camera, sewing machine, scrapbook stuff, velour joggy outfit, "The Last Lecture" book, all sorts of goodies! Then it was off to stuff our selves miserably at the Farrells, see everyone made fun of me cause I dressed everyone up in my family, dresses, tights, button up shirts.... and what did I show up in???? You got it, the super comfy velour outfit! Man was I comfy AND I sure as heck wasn't the first one for once to have to unbutton my jeans after dinner! Damn genius I tell you! I'm thinkin I'll be wearing one of those outfits every year from now on! So now we're on to Black Friday WOOT WOOT! The one time all year that I look forward to getting up at 3:30 am and pretty much not sleeping all night cause I'm so afraid of sleeping through my alarm! It was another year of great fun with Melanie, great deals, Yummy Cracker Barrel food, lots of walking, just one day of worrying about nothing but shopping! I made it home that night to see Chris had finished lighting up our house and a living room full of all my Christmas totes! So I'm sure you could guess what we did the next day..... Yep put up our tree and decorate the house but that was all AFTER we went and got family pics done that morning!!! You have no idea how much this excites me that we finally pulled it together to go get professional pictures done, it's been 5 years since we've gotten one. We always just have people take one at whatever holiday it is, but they're just never a nice as a studio! They went great, kids where great, our lady was great and a great amount of money later we'll finally have a family pic up on the mantle (and on our blog header) movin on up.... Then yesterday we just hung out, Chris packed again for about another 2 weeks in Heber, I wrapped some presents to send to Heber and then we went down town last night to walk around this area that they decorated for Christmas, it's incredibly beautiful and the kids really enjoyed our "Christmas walk". Now it's Monday, I'm beat from last week, Chris is back in AZ and I have 3 kiddos asking whens daddy going to be home from work.

Some nice lady offered to take our pic last night down by the lights!

The tree decorated, stockings hung...

Lexi hanging ornaments

Preston would just rather play with them!

This is the back of Melanies van with her third row down and we still hit another 5 stores I believe.

Mom you owe me for posting these greasy haired, pre showered pics ; )

Thanks mom, your the best!

and here's Lexi and Bryce on Tuesday before they hit the road to move back to Heber. I also went back into nagging pouty sister mode and was sure to tell them how much they suck for moving back to Heber and taking my cute nephew with them!! Yes I'm still pouting too!
